Electrical Maintenance Technician – Asset Management

About the role

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician you will ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical assets within Rio Tinto’s maintenance management framework. You will follow work management processes to execute assigned maintenance tasks and support the overall asset performance strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Identify defects, record findings in the asset management system, and support defect‑elimination processes.
• Participate in work‑order analysis, asset tactics reviews, and ensure alignment with job instructions.
• Commission equipment after maintenance and carry out post‑maintenance clean‑up activities.
• Provide feedback on asset performance to improve reliability and safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and analytical mindset for maintenance analysis.
• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
• Adaptable to changing maintenance priorities and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
