Design Assistant

About the role

Seafolly is looking for a highly organised and creatively driven Design Assistant to support the Design Team in developing its seasonal resort‑lifestyle collections. Reporting to a Senior Designer, you will gain hands‑on experience with a global fashion brand while contributing to the creation of vibrant, market‑ready designs.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain CAD files, colourways and design presentations aligned with seasonal briefs.
• Support end‑to‑end range development and sourcing by liaising with designers, offshore suppliers, mills and vendors.
• Track and manage fabric development, lab dips, strike‑offs and sample requests, maintaining clear approval records.
• Accurately record material pricing, MOQs and lead times, ensuring data is up‑to‑date for costing and production planning.
• Build and update comprehensive tech packs and manage product data within the AP21 PLM system.
• Maintain Excel‑based trackers for work‑in‑progress, critical paths, costing tools and sample logs.
• Assist with fittings, sample reviews, internal range presentations and e‑commerce shoots.

Required profile

• Strong eye for detail and passion for resort‑lifestyle fashion.
• Eagerness to develop practical experience within a global apparel brand.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software for fashion design.
• Experience with PLM systems, specifically AP21.
• Advanced Excel skills for tracking and data management.
