Dental Receptionist – Specialist Centre

About the role

Smile Solutions, Melbourne's Home of Dentistry, is seeking a friendly and proactive Receptionist to join its Specialist Centre located in the historic Manchester Unity Building. You will be the first point of contact for patients receiving specialist dental care and will support the multidisciplinary team in delivering smooth, high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage patient communications in person and by phone, providing clear information and guidance.
• Coordinate general anaesthetic hospital lists and schedule specialist appointments.
• Process treatment plans, accounts and payment arrangements.
• Provide individual administrative support to each specialist dentist.
• Perform general office duties as directed by practice management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented and a team player who leads by example.
• Positive, bubbly attitude that contributes to a welcoming clinic atmosphere.

Required skills

• Proficiency with dental practice management software; experience with Dental4Windows (D4W) is highly desirable.
