Data Center Operation Technician

About the role

Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a Data Center Operation Technician, supporting the design, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. You will work on‑site in an Australian data centre, handling a wide range of hardware, networking, and power systems to ensure continuous service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, track, and execute rack deployment, cabling, and decommissioning activities.
• Prioritise and resolve trouble tickets, maintaining high system reliability.
• Escalate and troubleshoot complex hardware, fiber, networking, and power issues.
• Deep‑dive into Linux server problems and perform remediation of physical layer outages.
• Participate in power and cooling events, and respond to 24x7 on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with eligibility for Government Security Clearance.
• Ability to work physically in a data centre environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset applying IT principles such as computer architecture and the OSI model.
