Construction Manager – St Peters Concrete Batch Plant

About the role

The Construction Manager will support the delivery of Boral’s St Peters Concrete Batch Plant project, providing hands‑on construction and site supervision. Working closely with contractors and Boral operational teams, the role ensures safe, compliant, and high‑quality execution of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work of construction crews, subcontractors and tradespeople, including site inductions, pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks and permit completion.
• Align project activities with schedules to ensure timely completion of each construction phase.
• Resolve site‑related issues promptly or escalate to the Senior Project Manager.
• Liaise with contractors’ site managers to allocate workforce, schedule material deliveries and minimise operational impact.
• Engage with Boral stakeholders (Operations, Environmental and Safety Managers) to provide updates and address concerns.
• Collaborate with Boral’s Engineering team and design consultants to resolve RFIs, design errors and omissions.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify and resolve delays, and maintain a site diary.
• Ensure completion of Inspection & Test Plans and compliance with design specifications, quality standards, safety and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Trade qualifications with significant industry experience.
• NSW General Construction Induction (White) Card.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering engineering or construction projects in heavy industry, mining, manufacturing or related sectors.
• Working knowledge of WHS Codes of Practice and related legislation.
• Proven experience coordinating contractors and supporting project delivery from construction through commissioning.
