Communications Coordinator (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to join GippsDairy on a part‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Based in Warragul, you will help deliver clear, farmer‑focused information that supports sustainable dairy practices across the Gippsland region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and review the annual Communications Strategy and Plan for GippsDairy.
• Manage and optimise all communication channels, including eNews, social media, print publications and the website.
• Design and produce targeted content that aligns with industry priorities and encourages practice change.
• Translate technical and industry data into clear, practical messages for farmers.
• Create case studies, articles, e‑newsletters, videos, podcasts and web content.
• Source and share authentic farmer stories that highlight achievements and build capability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, industry partners, service providers and Dairy Australia teams.

Required profile

• Proactive communications professional who enjoys stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to turn complex ideas into practical, farmer‑focused content.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar communications role.
• Diploma or degree in communications, marketing, journalism or public relations.
