Civil Design Engineer

About the role

An established engineering consultancy is seeking an ambitious Civil Design Engineer to contribute to residential subdivisions, greenfield developments and urban infrastructure projects across Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Design civil infrastructure for residential subdivisions and urban development projects, including roads, earthworks and stormwater drainage.
• Prepare design documentation, calculations and technical reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, project managers and external consultants.
• Liaise with clients, councils and approval authorities to ensure compliance.
• Assist with project delivery, documentation and design coordination.

Required profile

• 3‑8 years of civil engineering experience, preferably within an Australian or New Zealand consultancy.
• Experience in residential subdivisions, greenfield land development and urban development.
• Strong understanding of roads, drainage, earthworks and civil infrastructure design.
• Good technical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and genuine interest in developing a civil engineering career.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12D, MUSIC and DRAINS software.
• Exposure to HEC‑RAS or other hydraulic modelling software.
