Business Systems Analyst - JAMS

About the role

A newly created Business Systems Analyst position is open within Service Stream's Transport division, supporting the Job Asset Management System (JAMS). The role provides hands-on configuration, support and minor enhancements to JAMS, which covers asset management, maintenance planning, defect management, compliance and operational decision-making. It is based in the Melbourne office near Southern Cross Station, with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• JAMS configuration and support: maintain system configuration, workflows, security and reference data, deliver minor improvements and troubleshoot issues.
• Requirements, testing and deployment: gather and document business requirements, coordinate testing and user acceptance, manage defects, assist with deployments, user communications and post-implementation reviews.
• Standardisation: align JAMS configurations with requirements, reduce process variation and manual effort, improve data quality and maintain reusable documentation, process maps, training materials and configuration standards.
• Reporting, integration and governance: develop operational reports and data extracts, manage JAMS interfaces and data quality, and ensure compliance with access controls, privacy, cybersecurity, documentation and change-management requirements.

Required profile

• Experience configuring or supporting work management, field service or enterprise asset management systems.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to support testing, deployment, incident resolution and controlled change.

Required skills

• Desirable: hands-on JAMS experience.
• Desirable: SQL Server, querying, data validation and troubleshooting.
• Desirable: SSRS, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Power Apps or Power Automate.
• Desirable: Microsoft, SQL, Power BI, business analysis or continuous-improvement training.
