Business Development Manager - Library Technology

About the role

A globally recognised library technology organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across NSW, ACT and Queensland. The role is autonomous and field-based, with the chance to manage a well-established territory while identifying and securing new business. It suits someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting clients face-to-face and taking ownership of their results.

Key responsibilities

• Grow market share across the territory through relationship management, business development and strategic sales activity.
• Meet with existing and prospective customers, understand their needs, present solutions and build long-term partnerships.
• Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities.
• Manage sales pipelines, forecasts and sales activity reporting.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and tender responses.
• Represent the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities.
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver excellent customer experiences and keep up with emerging opportunities.

Required profile

• Experienced Business Development Manager, Territory Manager or similar sales professional.
• Proven track record of generating new business and growing a geographic territory.
• Self-starter who enjoys working on the road and engaging directly with customers.
• Commercially minded, reliable, trustworthy and highly professional.
• Collaborative team player motivated by achieving targets and delivering customer outcomes.
