Airport Operations Officer

About the role

The Airport Operations Officer will join the Ayers Rock Airport team at Yulara, providing day‑to‑day operational support for one of Australia’s most iconic remote airports. You will help maintain safety, security and regulatory compliance while living onsite in a unique desert environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain airport operational areas in line with the Ayers Rock Aerodrome Manual and CASR 139 standards.
• Implement and follow the Airport Transport Security Program (TSP) and the Airport ASIC Program.
• Respond to incidents as outlined in the Airport Emergency Plan.
• Carry out bird and wildlife hazard management and deterrence activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve regulatory objectives.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated individual with a strong safety focus.
• Valid full Australian driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Willingness to undergo a national criminal history check.
