Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to support our Financial Controller with month‑end close, reporting and analysis. You will play a key role in delivering accurate financial results, maintaining balance‑sheet integrity and assisting with audits and statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process journals, accruals and adjustments to support month‑end close.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Assist with management reporting, variance analysis and commentary.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, transfers, depreciation, audits and stocktakes.
• Support statutory reporting requirements and audit processes.
• Contribute to process improvement and documentation.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CPA/CA qualification or working towards it is desirable.
• Experience in a similar accounting role, including reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Strong attention to detail and confident communication with finance and operational stakeholders.
• Experience with Business Central is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (advantageous).
