Vibration Analysis Engineer

About the role

Newmont is looking for a Vibration Analysis Engineer to join the reliability team at its Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales. The role focuses on advanced diagnostic assessments of critical fixed‑plant machinery across surface and underground sites, helping to improve equipment reliability and support proactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed vibration analysis using specialised tools and software to assess machinery health.
• Identify vibration patterns, frequencies and amplitudes to diagnose mechanical issues and potential failures.
• Collect vibration data during routine inspections and scheduled monitoring programmes.
• Monitor trends in vibration signatures to detect early signs of equipment deterioration.
• Prepare clear reports that include findings, root‑cause analysis and recommended corrective actions.
• Communicate insights to operations teams and support the overall condition‑monitoring programme.
• Travel occasionally to the Moly Plant and Blayney sites for inspections and data collection.

Required profile

• Proven experience in vibration analysis of fixed‑plant machinery.
• Ability to work in both surface and underground mining environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on reliability and proactive maintenance.
