Transport Officer (Casual)

About the role

Bene Aged Care is looking for a compassionate Transport Officer to join its Community Services team on a casual basis in metropolitan Adelaide. You will help older clients stay independent and socially connected by providing safe transport to appointments, centre‑based activities and outings.

Key responsibilities

• Drive clients to medical appointments, community activities and social outings.
• Support clients to maintain independence and reduce social isolation.
• Follow client support plans and organisational procedures.
• Conduct home safety observations and report concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports.
• Communicate client updates and service changes to coordinators.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and keep vehicles clean.
• Adhere to road safety rules and safe driving practices.

Required profile

• Caring, dependable and enjoys working with older people.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Current driver’s licence.
• Access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current National Police Check.
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to use mobile phones and basic technology systems.
