Trainer & Assessor – Mining Site

About the role

This is a site‑based Trainer & Assessor position located in the Pilbara region on an 8/6 FIFO roster. You will design and deliver training programs, assess operator competence, and ensure all activities meet site and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver site‑specific training plans that comply with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Conduct assessments in line with the principles of validity, fairness, reliability, flexibility, authenticity and currency.
• Make determinations on assessment outcomes and maintain the integrity of results.
• Prepare retraining plans for candidates who do not meet required standards.
• Complete assessment documentation accurately and forward it to the Training Coordinator promptly.
• Assist trainees with operating procedures for the plant and equipment they are learning.
• Take responsibility for trainee performance and actions throughout the training period.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment.
• TAE Certificate IV in Training & Assessing (essential).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous self‑improvement.
