Textile and Graphics Designer (12‑month parental leave cover)

About the role

Seafolly is looking for an experienced Textile and Graphics Designer to join its design team on a 12‑month parental‑leave cover. Based in Alexandria, NSW, you will work in a hybrid model, creating original prints and graphics that align with the brand’s swimwear vision.

Key responsibilities

• Create original in‑house textile designs, repeat yardages, placement artwork and branding concepts.
• Manage the end‑to‑end design development process from concept through production, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Maintain design trackers, coordinate with overseas factories, review samples and provide clear feedback.
• Attend fittings, assess placement artwork and resolve design or production issues.
• Conduct trend research across runway, market and competitors to keep designs aligned with brand direction.
• Develop range books, including layout design, image selection and retouching as needed.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with patternmaking and production teams to ensure efficient workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of textile design experience, preferably in women’s swimwear or beachwear.
• Strong understanding of the swimwear market and consumer trends.
• Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team culture.
• Professional attitude, brand advocacy and commitment to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced Excel skills.
