Technical Project Manager – Retail (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead a growing portfolio of retail technology initiatives for a nationally‑operating, privately owned retailer. The role sits at the centre of a transformation programme covering ERP, POS, data analytics, warehouse automation and B2B digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of ERP, POS, pricing, real‑time reporting (Microsoft Fabric & Power BI), demand planning and integration projects.
• Run SteerCo governance, manage vendor relationships and protect the team from scope creep.
• Translate technical complexity into clear executive updates and decision‑making inputs.
• Maintain a single source of truth for project status, risks and timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing technology programmes in mid‑size retail environments.
• Strong business analysis capability and ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable challenging technical decisions and asking hard questions.
• Excellent communication skills and a reputation for delivering on scope, schedule and quality.

• ERP systems (e.g., Pronto Xi or similar mid‑market solutions)
• Point‑of‑Sale (POS) platforms
• API and middleware integrations
