SVS Tester – Software QA Engineer

About the role

The Quality Assurance team at Shield AI ensures that only approved software reaches customers. As an SVS Tester you will work closely with development and hardware teams to validate software for autonomous aircraft and simulation platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test cases, perform regression and automated testing, and verify product performance against goals.
• Prepare test environments, including hardware setup, device flashing, software installation, integration testing and operational testing on flights around Melbourne.
• Document testing activities, maintain approval matrices for software releases, and communicate schedule risks to the Director of Engineering.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve test processes, software design, and overall quality.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with cross‑platform testing on Windows and Linux.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing diverse test environments and operating systems.
• Ability to analyse and solve complex software problems individually or within a team.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and using fault‑tracking systems.
