Store Design Assistant

About the role

The Store Design Assistant will join JB Hi‑Fi’s Retail Design team, supporting the creation and maintenance of store environments across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Retail Design Manager, you will work closely with internal teams and external design partners to deliver high‑quality design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ArchiCAD support to the Retail Design, Store Development and Merchandise Services teams.
• Produce detailed documentation for stores, merchandise areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Ensure all store designs comply with relevant building codes and company standards.
• Support 3D modelling of fixtures, category and brand concepts.
• Develop conceptual layout plans for department and merchandise positioning.
• Collaborate with Merchandise Services to align product ranges and layouts with current initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external design resources.
• Capability to interpret building codes and design guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD.
• Experience with 3D modelling software.
