Software Engineer

About the role

As a Software Engineer at Frollo, you will design, build and deliver high-quality, scalable software supporting core lending and Open Banking products. You will work within a cross-functional engineering team, turning product requirements into maintainable code and collaborating with product, QA and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and document scalable new features with robust, well‑tested code.
• Partner with product and mobile teams to scope features, design APIs, and refine the user experience.
• Proactively troubleshoot bugs and uphold bank‑level security standards through rigorous testing and automation.
• Act as a technical bridge for client developers, providing support for API integrations.
• Participate in design and code reviews, owning features from implementation through production.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience developing backend systems.
• Proficiency in at least one language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and experience delivering production‑quality code.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
