Software Engineer – Graduate/Entry-Level

About the role

Tyro Health is reshaping how Australian healthcare businesses handle payments and claims. As a Graduate Software Engineer you will join a fast‑moving team, building the web experience for patients and insurers under the guidance of senior mentors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship new features for the Tyro Health web platform.
• Build clean, tested, and maintainable code for healthcare‑focused functionality.
• Support and extend JavaScript SDKs used by partner networks.
• Collaborate with the Design System to implement consistent UI components.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure platform stability.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and design hand‑off sessions.
• Engage in code reviews to learn from peers and contribute fresh perspectives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, with comfort using React and interest in TypeScript.
• Completed a relevant degree, intensive bootcamp, or 1–2 years of practical experience; portfolio work such as GitHub repos or internship projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and agentic tooling such as Cursor and Claude.
