Software Engineer – Backend & Full‑Stack (C#/.NET, React)

About the role

Onyx Gaming is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain secure, high‑performance software that powers both internal operations and customer‑facing systems. You will work across backend services, APIs, front‑end experiences and cloud infrastructure in a regulated, real‑world environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build backend services using C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core) and PHP (Laravel).
• Develop modern front‑end applications with React and Next.js.
• Create and evolve REST and gRPC APIs and integrations.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Model and optimise data in SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Implement automated unit and integration testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and production releases.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve system reliability and performance.
• Apply secure coding practices and meet compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with QA, product and external testing partners to deliver high‑quality releases.
