Site Supervisor – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead the safe and efficient operation of a renewable energy facility in Melbourne. The role is hands‑on, overseeing daily site activities, maintenance programmes and contractor performance while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day site operations and supervise site personnel and contractors.
• Perform and oversee electrical and high‑voltage (HV) maintenance activities.
• Manage permits, safety compliance and WHS reporting.
• Monitor and maintain plant equipment such as transformers, switchgear, substations, inverters, BESS, generators and UPS systems.
• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot faults and coordinate repairs.
• Work closely with engineering and control‑room teams to optimise plant performance.
• Plan and schedule maintenance, produce CMMS reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers for technical support, warranty claims and service requirements.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to safety and WHS best practices.
• Proven experience supervising personnel and contractors on industrial, energy or utility sites.
• Electrical trade qualification; HV experience is highly regarded.
• Well‑organised, proactive and solution‑focused.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team while managing competing site priorities.
