Senior Mobile Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Quality Engineer to join CloudMarc’s consultancy team in Melbourne. The role will support a major enterprise program, delivering both manual and automated testing for iOS and Android applications while ensuring API and backend quality. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with engineering, product and delivery squads in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Test mobile applications on iOS and Android using manual and automated approaches.
• Design, build and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts (Appium, Selenium).
• Identify high‑value test cases for automation and implement them.
• Validate REST APIs and backend services, including payload verification.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive defect management, reporting and quality improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
• Proven expertise in mobile testing for iOS and Android.
• Hands‑on experience with mobile automation tools, preferably Appium.
• Experience with Selenium or similar web‑automation frameworks.
• Solid background in API testing (REST, JSON).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in Agile delivery environments.
• Automation‑first mindset and ability to contribute immediately to delivery teams.
