Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Tax and Business Advisory division. The role offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of small‑business and personal tax clients while contributing to a collaborative, client‑focused team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for a range of clients.
• Assist and mentor junior team members in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
• Conduct client meetings for small‑business and personal tax matters.
• Support Directors and Managers with tax planning, research and advisory work.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes to accounting standards, tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute to a supportive workplace culture.
• Network to strengthen the Moore brand and maintain client relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce, Business or equivalent qualification.
• CA or CPA qualification attained or in progress.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to prepare complex income tax returns and provide tax advice.
• Proven coaching and mentoring capabilities for junior staff.
• Strong initiative, organisational skills and ability to meet client deadlines.
• National police clearance (within six months) and Australian working rights.
