Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team at the Gruyere Gold Mine in Western Australia. Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Reliability, you will support the Maintenance and Processing departments to enhance equipment availability and extend asset life.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with maintenance and operations teams to provide practical engineering support.
• Develop and maintain fixed‑plant maintenance and reliability strategies aimed at maximising equipment availability and minimising unplanned downtime.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and defect‑elimination projects for critical plant assets.
• Analyse short‑ and long‑term performance data to identify trends, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Review inspection and maintenance reports, generate work orders in SAP and address reliability risks.
• Drive reliability improvement initiatives from identification through to implementation for processing plant equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining and improving reliability of gold‑processing assets such as crushers, conveyors, mills and pumps.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with a proactive, growth‑mindset approach.

Required skills

• Reliability engineering tools: Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO).
• Root‑cause failure analysis techniques.
• Experience using SAP for work‑order management.
