Recruitment Consultant – Blue‑Collar Industrial Roles

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Recruitment Consultant to join our Adelaide team. The role focuses on high‑volume sourcing, screening and onboarding of blue‑collar candidates for warehousing, logistics and manufacturing positions. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, engaging candidates primarily over the phone.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct at least 90 phone screens and 30 interviews each week.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media groups, industry referrals and targeted advertising.
• Maintain proactive communication with candidates, even when no immediate role is available.
• Assess suitability through phone and face‑to‑face interviews, reviewing onboarding documents and ensuring compliance.
• Administer reference checks, medical questionnaires, police checks and other pre‑employment verifications.
• Collaborate with account managers to understand client requirements and match suitable candidates.
• Maintain accurate records in the recruitment database and coordinate placements.
• Provide timely updates to candidates and build long‑term relationships to encourage referrals.

Required profile

• Resilience and persistence to handle high call volumes and consistent follow‑up.
• Strong communication skills with a confident phone manner.
• Effective time‑management to juggle multiple recruitment processes.
• Attention to detail for compliance and onboarding requirements.
• Proactive mindset to build and maintain candidate pipelines.
• Previous experience in recruitment, sales or a high‑volume call environment is advantageous.
• Experience sourcing blue‑collar candidates is a plus.
