Project Engineer

About the role

Purina is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Engineering team at its Blayney factory. The role will lead the design, implementation and start‑up of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with Nestlé standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute basic and detailed engineering design based on corporate principles, user requirements and TPM characteristics.
• Manage safety considerations for operators and installation crews.
• Deliver engineering scope (buildings, equipment, piping, utilities) within defined time, cost and quality targets.
• Select, qualify and coordinate contractors, applying Nestlé standards throughout.
• Support the End‑to‑End Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in developing and adhering to the investment project charter.
• Assist the start‑up manager to ensure smooth transition to operations after qualification and verification.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or advanced trade qualification.
• 5+ years of industrial project management experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Experience supervising technical teams, contractors or third‑party vendors.
• Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary capital projects.
• Experience in start‑up of technical equipment or production lines.
• Full Australian working rights.
