About the role
The Project Cost Controller will support the delivery of complex maritime projects in Henderson, ensuring costs are tracked, analysed and reported within an Earned Value Management (EVM) framework. Working closely with project managers, finance, engineering and operations, you will help keep projects on budget and provide insight for decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse project cost performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Track actual costs against budgets and forecasts, highlighting variances.
- Prepare and maintain project cost budgets and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
- Provide inputs for cost reporting and timely performance insights.
- Assist with Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting, KPI tracking and variance analysis.
- Document and analyse cost drivers across scope, schedule and resources.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Finance to align budgets with financial objectives.
- Support adherence to cost control processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in cost control, project controls or financial analysis within a project‑based environment.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis principles.
