Production Manager – Relocation to Sydney

About the role

The Production Manager will lead a team of Production Technicians, Operators and Engineers in a high‑tech optical communications manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for meeting production targets while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary production team.
• Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles across all operations.
• Ensure production output aligns with customer demand and quality specifications.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9000 quality management standards and safety regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation.
• Collaborate with engineering and other departments to align processes and resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Manufacturing or relevant engineering degree.
• Proven production management or team‑leadership experience.
• Professional exposure to optical loss analysis, wavelength, light management or spectral instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and ISO 9000 standards.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and CAD models.
