Procurement Officer – Irrigation

About the role

Sunfam, part of the Elders group, is seeking a Procurement Officer focused on irrigation solutions. You will drive category strategies, deliver cost savings, and ensure supply continuity while supporting both Sunfam and Elders’ combined buying power.

Key responsibilities

• Use data‑driven analysis to assess spend, benchmark costs, identify savings opportunities, and implement improvements.
• Manage supplier performance through KPIs/SLAs and conduct regular reviews.
• Balance stakeholder needs across the business, maintaining strong cross‑level relationships.
• Maintain and optimise the procurement pipeline to reduce operational peaks.
• Identify and drive improvements in procurement and inventory management processes.
• Support accurate vendor master data, uphold safety priorities, and contribute to category hierarchy management.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to communicate timeframes and ensure timely project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement or commodity management.
• Proven use of category management and spend analysis to achieve cost savings.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of domestic, commercial, and agricultural irrigation is an advantage.
