Principal Communications & Marketing Officer (Temporary)

About the role

The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a temporary full‑time Principal Communications and Marketing Officer to join its Communications & Campaigns team. Based in the central CBD office, you will help deliver strategic communication services that support education initiatives, programs and events across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑level communication projects, coordinating with key stakeholders.
• Provide high‑quality communication services within an account‑management framework.
• Develop and implement innovative communication strategies that promote state schooling and departmental work.
• Create audience‑focused content for traditional, social and digital channels.
• Identify, prepare and distribute departmental good news to support storytelling objectives.

Required profile

• Experience working within an account‑management framework and building stakeholder partnerships.
• Tertiary qualification in communications or a related field is desirable.
