About the role

The Pharmacy Department at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking a permanent Pharmacist to provide optimised pharmaceutical care for patients and carers, linking the health‑care team with patients to promote safe and effective medication use.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑centred pharmacy services to in‑patients throughout the hospital.
• Dispense medication based on hospital prescriptions and ensure correct usage.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health‑care professionals to support quality medication management.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and their families.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist eligible to practice in Queensland.
• Commitment to work within a public hospital environment on a permanent basis.
