Part‑time ESOL Lecturer (0.7 FTE)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic ESOL lecturer to join UHI Perth on a part‑time, permanent basis. The role involves delivering a full‑time academic year programme for local migrants and overseas students, working closely with a collaborative teaching team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ESOL courses, including SQA units, Cambridge exam preparation, Academic English and bespoke modules for commercial clients.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and maintain high teaching standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.

Required profile

• Experience teaching a diverse range of ages, nationalities and proficiency levels.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Eligibility to undergo a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check.

Required skills

• Trinity Certificate in TESOL or Cambridge CELTA.
• Proven ability to prepare and deliver ESOL instruction.
