NFR Governance Manager

About the role

The Enterprise Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Governance team is looking for two senior leaders to drive governance and oversight of ANZ's enterprise‑wide non‑financial risk profile. Reporting to the Group Manager Operational Risk, you will work closely with senior leaders across the business, risk, compliance and assurance functions to embed a strong risk culture and ensure resilient, compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead governance and oversight of the aggregate NFR profile, including Risk Appetite Statement metrics and enterprise indicators.
• Prepare and present regular NFR governance reports, insights and opinions to the Operational Risk Committee (OREC) and Board Risk Committee (BRC).
• Design, implement and continuously improve NFR governance processes, initiatives and reporting across the enterprise.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Business, Risk, Compliance and Assurance.
• Lead, coach and develop members of the NFR Governance team, fostering an inclusive, high‑accountability culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience as a Non‑Financial Risk practitioner in a large, complex financial services environment.
• Significant experience in NFR governance or related risk disciplines.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality reports for senior risk governance committees.
• Strong data‑analytical skillset with the ability to translate data into actionable risk insights.
• Demonstrated curiosity and innovative thinking to deliver effective solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with senior leaders.
