Multi‑Skilled Construction Worker

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Multi‑Skilled Construction Worker to support the construction and maintenance of Council’s roads, drainage and civil infrastructure. This hands‑on position involves operating plant, performing labour duties and carrying out earthworks, concreting and pipe‑laying tasks while adhering to safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy plant and equipment (up to 24 t GVM) on civil construction sites.
• Perform labouring duties including earthworks, concreting, advanced formwork and pipe laying to line and grade.
• Assist with traffic management and maintain plant and tools.
• Read and interpret technical plans, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments and ensure compliance with WHS standards.
• Complete required documentation and maintain quality standards.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in civil infrastructure and roadworks.
• Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s Licence and White Card (Construction Induction).
• Proven ability to operate heavy plant, perform concrete works and pipe laying.
• Strong problem‑solving, literacy, communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
