Menswear Designer for Myer Exclusive Brand BLAQ

About the role

Myer Group is looking for a senior Menswear Designer to shape the creative direction of the Myer Exclusive Brand BLAQ. You will lead the design process from concept through production, ensuring the collection reflects the brand DNA while meeting commercial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, mood boards, colour stories and print research aligned with the BLAQ brand DNA.
• Produce original artwork using CAD and illustration tools and compile detailed design packs with specifications for vendors.
• Conduct trend research with a commercial, customer‑focused lens and translate international trends for the Australian market.
• Source new fabrics, trims and finishes, and work with buyers to elevate product quality and pricing.
• Manage range boards, flow boards and visual updates for range review meetings.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in fashion or product design, or equivalent industry experience.
• 6+ years of experience in fashion design or product development, preferably in menswear.
• Strong understanding of market segmentation, trends, garment construction, fabric properties and finishing techniques.
• Proven ability to communicate design intent and collaborate with buying and sourcing teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD for apparel design.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator.
