Mechanical Engineer

About the role

EnerMech is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering oversight, QA governance and technical support for its Gladstone workshop and field mechanical services. The role ensures safe, compliant and commercially sound delivery of valve, flange, pressure testing and mechanical integrity activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across workshop and field activities, reviewing and approving procedures, ITPs, test packs and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, Australian Standards and NATA requirements.
• Oversee valve inspection, refurbishment and testing, including review of test and repair procedures.
• Support flange management, torque calculations, gasket selection and bolting programs.
• Develop and review hydrostatic and pneumatic test procedures, maintaining NATA audit readiness.
• Provide oversight of pressure vessels, piping and mechanical equipment, coordinating NDT activities and MDR completion.
• Manage chemical cleaning, flushing, purging and nitrogen dosing activities, ensuring metallurgy compatibility.
• Support machining and refurbishment work, reviewing tolerances and component suitability.
