Maintenance Technician – Heavy Mining Equipment

About the role

Based at Tarrawonga Mine, you will join the maintenance team responsible for a fleet of CAT and Hitachi mining equipment. The role focuses on safe, efficient maintenance that meets statutory and site standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and unplanned maintenance on electric‑drive haul trucks (Hitachi EH4000‑2/3).
• Diagnose and rectify faults across high‑voltage electrical systems.
• Operate effectively in both workshop and field environments.

Required profile

• Commitment to safety and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working with electric‑drive trucks in a mining setting.
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
• Current High Voltage Electrical Licence.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to complete an Order 45 medical.

Required skills

• Electric‑drive haul truck maintenance (Hitachi EH4000‑2/3).
• High‑voltage electrical system diagnostics.
• Preventative maintenance of heavy mining equipment.
• Fault finding and repair of HV electrical components.
