Lead Transmission Lines Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Lead Transmission Lines Engineer to join a high‑performing team delivering complex high‑voltage transmission projects across Victoria and Australia. You will shape the design, planning and delivery of 132kV+ infrastructure that underpins the nation’s energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for major transmission line projects.
• Lead and review designs, specifications, and drawings for transmission lines (132kV and above).
• Ensure compliance with Australian codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with utilities, EPCs and government agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide design leadership and mentor team members to maintain technical excellence.
• Support construction, testing and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Significant experience in high‑voltage transmission line design (132kV+).
• Strong knowledge of Australian transmission codes and standards.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
