Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

GE Vernova is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the design, configuration and deployment of its Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) within the GridOS® platform. The role involves hands‑on technical work across energy integration workflows, coding and deployment, supporting the DER Gateway component that links DERs, aggregators and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy DERMS solutions to customer environments, supporting project use cases and DER planning scenarios.
• Own technical deliverables throughout the full project lifecycle, from architecture and design to SIT/UAT and go‑live readiness.
• Collaborate with clients to assess needs, define workflow, interface and reporting requirements, and ensure successful implementation.
• Provide technical leadership for DevOps practices, establishing CI/CD pipelines and automation standards.
• Work with Project Managers, Delivery Managers, Technical Leads and global teams to manage scope, risks and issues.
• Document client‑specific deployment requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify delivery risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Apply GE product knowledge to drive continuous improvement and change management.
• Participate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver solutions efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps engineering within complex, distributed systems.
• Strong background in delivering end‑to‑end solutions for energy or industrial platforms.
• Ability to work closely with customers, understand business needs and translate them into technical designs.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum team environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multi‑disciplinary teams.
