Lead Civil Engineer – Energy

About the role

Join Aurecon’s Brisbane team as a Lead Civil Engineer focused on renewable energy. You will drive civil engineering delivery for wind, solar and battery storage projects, ensuring high‑quality, buildable solutions that support Australia’s clean energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead civil design packages from concept through detailed design for renewable energy assets.
• Coordinate with offshore and distributed design teams to maintain quality and schedule alignment.
• Integrate multidisciplinary inputs (structural, electrical, geotechnical, transmission, environmental) to achieve seamless project outcomes.
• Manage civil‑energy interfaces, including wind turbines, solar arrays, BESS facilities and substations.
• Support constructability reviews, staging plans and contractor engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering civil design for wind, solar or BESS projects.
• Strong knowledge of tracks, access roads, pavements, hardstands, earthworks and drainage design.
• Experience coordinating civil works with transmission lines and substations.
• Ability to lead offshoring or distributed design teams.
• Familiarity with Australian standards and energy sector client requirements.
