Junior Consultant / Project Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an early‑career professional to join its Program Performance team in Queensland. You will contribute to high‑impact infrastructure projects across defence, government, social infrastructure and construction, while developing your project management expertise in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong client partnerships and co‑create tailored solutions.
• Lead and manage design and construction schedules, aligning with client expectations.
• Deliver projects from concept through handover, overseeing scope, risk, financials and reporting.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Regional Leads and the Program Director to report progress and milestones.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a project management role.
• Experience working across complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong documentation, report writing and presentation abilities.
• Ability to assess contractor documentation, including payment, variation claims and extensions of time.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
