Housekeeping Assistant – Luxury Resort

About the role

We are looking for a motivated House Person to join the housekeeping team at a five‑star luxury resort on Hayman Island. You will help ensure guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces are clean, fresh and welcoming, contributing to memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Room Attendants and the wider housekeeping team with daily operational tasks.
• Deliver linen, amenities and housekeeping supplies throughout the property.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards and lost property in a timely manner.
• Support deep‑cleaning programmes and room inspections as required.
• Ensure all work complies with brand standards, hygiene requirements and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands: standing for long periods, walking, bending and lifting up to 15‑20 kg.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with a strong team‑oriented approach.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong attention to detail while working efficiently.
• Good communication skills.
