Health & Safety Coordinator

About the role

Join a fast‑growing engineering organisation as a Health & Safety Coordinator based in Melbourne. You will work closely with an experienced H&S Manager who will mentor you while you support safety coordination across multiple project sites in Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Support new greenfield and brownfield projects, collaborating with on‑site engineering and technical teams.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and safety reviews across VIC, NSW, QLD, SA, WA and NZ.
• Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, toolbox talks and safety documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers to ensure compliance with best practice.
• Support environmental and social initiatives and assist with ISO audits, reporting and annual compliance requirements.
• Promote a practical, solutions‑focused safety culture on site and in the office.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a health & safety role, preferably on‑site in construction, logistics or manufacturing.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (Certificate III may be considered).
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with solid understanding of Australian WHS standards and legislation.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.
