Growth Engineer – AI, SEO & Digital Acquisition

About the role

upcover is seeking a hands‑on Growth Engineer to own and scale its online acquisition engine. You will combine growth strategy, digital marketing, and technical SEO to drive high‑intent traffic, convert leads, and support partner channels across the insurance market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the SEO and AI‑search strategy for priority insurance products and verticals.
• Create content clusters and GEO/AEO systems to surface upcover in Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and other answer engines.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance to build a fast, compliant publishing workflow.
• Identify high‑intent, question‑based keywords across business, cyber, technology, professional indemnity and other insurance lines.
• Improve technical SEO elements: internal linking, schema markup, metadata, site performance and indexation.
• Manage paid acquisition channels, own Google Ads strategy and test LinkedIn and other platforms for mid‑market and tech audiences.
• Build campaign structures by product, industry, audience and buying intent, and optimise conversion tracking.
• Analyse performance data, ship campaigns, iterate on landing pages and nurture flows.

• Hands‑on marketer comfortable working across SEO, paid media, content systems and analytics.
• Collaborative partner who works closely with sales, product, partnerships and operations.
• Comfortable navigating insurance compliance while maintaining speed.
