Front End Engineer

About the role

HUB24 is looking for a Front End Engineer who is passionate about creating intuitive, high‑impact digital experiences for Australian financial services. You will work closely with UX, product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, performant, and accessible user interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build modern, responsive web applications using strong software‑engineering principles.
• Translate UI/UX designs into polished, accessible, high‑performance interfaces.
• Create reusable, well‑tested components within a shared design system.
• Integrate front‑end applications with APIs and back‑end services.
• Implement visual regression and automated testing to ensure quality.
• Apply analytics to drive insight‑based improvements.
• Support application monitoring, issue resolution, and occasional after‑hours service continuity.
• Collaborate openly with cross‑functional teams and champion design‑system adoption.

Required profile

• Strong software‑engineering mindset with a focus on clean code and performance.
• Ability to work collaboratively across UX, product and engineering.
• Curiosity about emerging front‑end technologies and pragmatic innovation.

Required skills

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript for responsive web development.
• API integration and consumption.
• Reusable component creation within a design system.
• Visual regression testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Digital experience analytics implementation.
