Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will report to the CFO and lead the day‑to‑day finance function at splose, an AI‑driven practice management platform serving Allied Health professionals. The role is central to ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls and strategic support as the company expands across ANZ and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and board packs.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital optimisation and ensure timely tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Lead external audit preparation and coordinate with auditors.
• Drive the R&D tax incentive process and manage related external advisors.
• Implement and enhance financial systems, automation tools and scalable processes.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and strategic decision‑making.
• Support due‑diligence, fundraising and M&A financial modelling.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a finance leadership role within a fast‑growing technology or SaaS environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and improve financial processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to provide actionable insights to senior leadership and investors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance and audit procedures.
• Expertise in cash‑flow management, budgeting and forecasting.
