Facilities Manager

About the role

Coombes Property Group is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of its Brisbane‑based property portfolio. The role works closely with property management and maintenance teams to ensure assets are safe, well‑presented and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and operate building services across multiple properties.
• Oversee local capital works projects, contracts and service providers.
• Lead the onsite team, ensuring proper utilisation, training and performance.
• Conduct inspections, produce reports and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Assist the National Operations Manager and Property Manager with budgeting, tenancy preparation and fit‑out projects.
• Coordinate contractors, enforce WHS procedures and verify quality of completed works.
• Respond to call‑outs and urgent maintenance issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in facilities or property management.
• Technical background – mechanical/electrical trade qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of building systems, Australian Standards and BCA.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and committed to safety and customer service.
