Extruder Operator – Full-time (Wangaratta)

About the role

The Extruder Operator will join CopRice’s Wangaratta plant, supporting the production of animal nutrition products. This permanent, full‑time position involves operating the extruder and related equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the extruder and ancillary equipment throughout each shift, following safety procedures.
• Follow production plans and adjust operations to accommodate changes in product demand or ingredient supply.
• Maintain plant and equipment to required standards and ensure food‑safety compliance for ingredients and finished goods.
• Operate a forklift as required for material handling.

Required profile

• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one).
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude (to be assessed).
• Physical ability to lift, reach, stand, stoop and bend throughout the shift.
• Manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality standards.
• Competent computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills for effective teamwork.
