Electrical Service Technician – Workshop & Field

About the role

Rotork is seeking a Workshop / Field Technician to deliver prompt, high‑quality service to customers in the water, power, petrochemical and related industries. You will work both in the workshop and on‑site, diagnosing and repairing actuators and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the workshop.
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on valve and actuator systems.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical installations, including retrofit of components, pedestals and drive shafts.
• Produce accurate technical reports for each job.
• Provide effective on‑site service to customers across multiple sectors.

Required profile

• Qualified QLD Electrician Licence.
• Experience in a practical engineering environment.
• Full, valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to attend training, customer inductions, medicals and inoculations as required.
• Strong focus on delivering results and meeting customer expectations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Knowledge of basic electronics, electrical and fluid‑power theory.
• Experience using common test and calibration tools.
• Technical understanding of valves, actuators and digital control systems.
